Occupy Toronto protesters arrested, 2 hurt

March 31, 2012 at 10:31 AM

TORONTO, March 31 (UPI) -- Canadian police said a scuffle Friday sent two Occupy Toronto protesters to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police Staff Sgt. Deb Abbott said the two were among four people arrested at Osgoode Hall when they refused orders to leave the area.

The confrontation led to another march Friday night in which at least one protester was arrested.

The (Toronto) Star said the arrest was made after a protester on a bicycle got into a physical confrontation with an officer outside the 52 Division police headquarters.
