White supremacists outnumbered in Edmonton

EDMONTON, Alberta, March 24 (UPI) -- A dozen white supremacists who marched in Edmonton, Alberta, Saturday found themselves greatly outnumbered by anti-racism protesters.

The small contingent of supremacists, many who kept their faces masked, chanted "worldwide white pride," while about 200 counter protester gathered across the street, the Edmonton Journal reported.

Dozens of police officers kept the two sides apart and no violence had been reported.

The annual face-off coincides with International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
