MOSCOW, March 23 (UPI) -- Two North Caucasus natives who advertised online as male prostitutes robbed 30 gay Moscow residents and killed three of them were killed, police alleged.

Police said the suspects, ages 22 and 25, attacked their alleged victims in their homes while they robbed them, RIA Novosti reported.

The two suspects, whose names were not reported, were arrested but criminal charges have yet to be filed.

The suspects had rented an apartment on a downtown Moscow street where rents range from $1,400-$4,000 a month, the Incom real estate agency's Web site said.

The death of one of the victims prompted investigators to look into the case.
