On Tuesday night the National Security Council's counter-terrorism bureau issued the advisory calling on Israelis to refrain from visiting Turkey in coming days, saying terrorist elements in the country were planning an attack against Israeli or Jewish targets. The Council's Web site described the threat as "concrete."
The warning, reported by Israeli television stations and in newspapers, comes less than a week after the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad informed Turkey's National Intelligence Agency of plans by Iranian Revolutionary Guards to attack Israeli diplomatic missions in Turkey.
The Turkish daily Hurriyet News quoted an NTV news channel report that said four individuals from Iran had entered Turkey with weapons to be used in the alleged attacks.
