JUAREZ, Mexico, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Authorities in Chihuahua, Mexico, say they have found more remains in the Valley of Juarez in an investigation by a new unit focusing on female killings.

The most recently discovered victims, found Monday, have yet to be identified due to extensive decay.

Carlos Gonzalez, spokesman for the Chihuahua prosecutor's office, says IDs are forthcoming.

"In a matter of days, we'll have IDs," he told the El Paso (Texas) Times. "It's a high priority for the prosecutor's office to obtain these IDs and give the families absolute certainty that these remains belong to their sons or daughters."

Last week, authorities identified the bones of Jessica Leticia Pena Garcia, 15, Adrea Guerrero Venzor, 15, and Lizbeth Aviles Garcia, 17, who all went missing in 2009 and 2010.
