TORONTO, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Toronto police Tuesday said they re-arrested a retired 85-year-old school teacher suspected of sexually assaulting a student in the 1960s.

Alec Owen, a former teacher for the east-end Scarborough Board of Education from 1959 to 1981, was first arrested in November for possessing child pornography, police said in a release.

That arrest was one of several tips to Canadian police from British investigators conducting a global investigation.

At the time, Toronto police said in a release "it is possible that he [Owen] has tutored children from his home" and asked for any assault victims to come forward.

As a result, police alleged in a release Tuesday "the accused sexually abused [a] boy for several years, starting when the boy was 7." Owen was charged with two counts of indecent assault.

Allegations from a second former male student were being investigated, police said.

Because investigators believe there are still victims who haven't come forward, they released a series of four photographs showing Owen as he appeared in 1977, 1979, 1998 and last November.
