PEREIRA, Colombia, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Police in Colombia say they seized 4 tons of marijuana, possibly dealing a blow to the powerful "Rastrojos" drug gang.

Authorities stopped a truck on the highway between Cali and Pereira Tuesday and seized $5.5 million worth of marijuana meant for the black market, Colombia Reports said. Two men escaped the truck before police could apprehend them.

The Rastrojos, formed by former members of the defunct Norte el Valle cartel, is one of the most powerful in the country, police say.
