SANTIAGO, Chile, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- A man was arrested in Chile for allegedly stealing more than 5 tons of ice from the Jorge Montt Glacier to sell for use in cocktails, police say.

Police intercepted a refrigerated truck Friday with more than $6,100 worth of ice. The driver was arrested and charged with theft, and police are considering charging him with violation of a national monument.
