Firefighters find decapitated corpse

MANCHESTER, England, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Firefighters responding to a call early Thursday found a decapitated body on fire in a parking lot in Stockport, England, police said.

The dead man was identified as John Grainger, 32, of Stockport, the Manchester Evening News reported. His head was found near the body, investigators said.

Greater Manchester Police detained two men for questioning, The Guardian reported. The News said both were arrested on other charges before the grisly discovery.

Grainger's body was found close to the Stockport Police Station and the town center at 5:10 a.m.
