BANDA ACEH, Indonesia, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- A group of Indonesian punks Monday filed a report with the National Commission on Human Rights' after a concert was raided last week.
Felix and Juanda, two youths representing the Aceh punk community, reported alleged assaults that were carried out by law enforcement officers, The Jakarta Post reported.
"We are filing our objection to [what authorities did in] this incident," Felix said.
The youths were joined by human rights activist Hospi Novizal Sabri, Banda Aceh Legal Aid Foundation director Evi Narti, Tikar Pandan and community artist Azhari.
As many as 65 young people were arrested during a punk rock concert last week and brought to the national police school to be "re-educated" for 10 days.
"They have discriminated against us. Why should police bring them to the police school?" Juanda said.
Commission member Romi Mulya said the agency would investigate the report and ask for an explanation from local authorities.
"We will have to verify the report while respecting the principle of presumption of innocence," Romi said.
