1 dead, 10 injured in Moscow stabbings

MOSCOW, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- One person was killed and 10 injured Friday when a man stabbed pedestrians with a knife in Moscow, police said.

RIA Novosti reported a suspect, identified only by his surname, Arbuzov, was detained 15 minutes after the attacks.

A woman who was stabbed died of her injuries at a hospital, a police spokesman said.

All the stabbing victims were taken to hospitals, ITAR-Tass reported.

A 5-year-old boy also received medical treatment for shock after witnessing the afternoon attack.
