Dad who drowned sons gets death penalty

PARIS, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Former Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega will be returned home Sunday after more than 20 years in prison in the United States and France, officials said.
Noriega, 77, who ruled Panama from 1983 to 1989 as a military dictator, will be extradited from France, where he has been held since last year for money laundering.
He has been convicted in absentia of corruption and murder in Panama, and faces other charges from his time as ruler of the Central American country, CNN reported Thursday.
The former U.S. ally served 20 years in U.S. prisons for drug trafficking.
