BAGHDAD, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- A suicide bomber drove an explosives-packed car into a security checkpoint outside an Iraqi prison Monday, killing 11 people, police said.
The attack at the al-Hout prison in Taji district about 12 miles north of Baghdad also left about 20 people injured, CNN reported.

Authorities said no one had claimed responsibility for the deadly blast and it wasn't clear why the prison was targeted, the U.S. news network said.
The casualties included prison guards and civilians, police said.
