Canadian construction firms raided

MONTREAL, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- An investigation of fraud in Quebec's construction industry led to several raids and arrests Wednesday, authorities said.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. said the bulk of the operation was carried out by about 150 police officers armed with about 20 arrest warrants at locations on Montreal's North Shore. Other targets included locations in Broisbriand, Ontario, and Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, Quebec.
