TEL AVIV, Israel, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Israeli forces say they stopped two Palestinian smugglers from importing tobacco from Egypt to Gaza.
Israeli naval officials noticed a small fishing boat heading towards the Gaza Strip moving heavy in the water, which indicated it was carrying a lot of weight on board, Ynetnews reported.

The two Palestinians aboard surrendered when military forces fired a shot into the air.
The smugglers were brought to the Ashdod port for questions to determine if they had a connection to a terrorist group or were criminally motivated.
The area in which the boat was found is a usual route for terror groups smuggling weapons to Gaza.
