Confessed Norway killer kept in isolation

OSLO, Norway, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- The man who confessed to the July 22 killing of 77 people in Norway must remain in full isolation for four more weeks, a judge said Monday.

Sentencing for Anders Behring Breivik is still being debated while police investigate the Oslo bombing and shooting deaths of youth camp members he confessed to, Views and News from Norway reported.

Monday's hearing was closed to the public and press because Judge Anne Margrethe Lund did not want to give the man a public forum as he read aloud from a prepared text.

An attorney for one victim's family told Norwegian Broadcasting that Breivik "said things that don't deserve the light of day. Both the police, attorneys and his defense counsel agree that the only right thing is a total ban" on printing what he had to say.
