ORANJESTAD, Aruba, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Casey Anthony's lead defense attorney said he will represent the man held in Aruba for the disappearance of Maryland tourist Robyn Gardner.

Giordano was arrested shortly after Gardner, 35, disappeared in Aruba on Aug. 2.

Last week he lost an appeal to be freed from jail and will now be held for 60 days while prosecutors build a case against him.

Baez had been practicing for only three years when Casey Anthony hired him to represent her.

He served as the lead attorney in the Anthony case which ended with Anthony being found not guilty in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.
