Young Pole arrested for shooting at trams

WARSAW, Poland, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Polish law enforcement officers say they arrested a teenager accused of shooting at trams with an air rifle.

Police were called to the scene after the 19-year-old allegedly shot a tram in Warsaw, causing a window to shatter and injuring an 11-year-old girl, Poland Radio reported Tuesday.

The teen, identified as Michal J., allegedly fired at another tram after an ambulance arrived.

Police tracked where the shots came from and located the teenager, who they took into custody.

The 19-year-old will likely face charges of property damage, as well as endangering the life of another and causing damage to another's health.
