Australian schoolgirls groped on bus

GREEN VALLEY, Australia, July 27 (UPI) -- A drunk man fondled five schoolgirls on a bus in a Sydney suburb Wednesday, Australian police say.

The 20-year-old man approached a group of girls, ages 12 to 17, in the back seats of the bus and groped them, Detective Inspector Jenny Parlett of the Green Valley police told the Sydney Morning Herald.

"When he approached them, they moved seats and he followed them around the bus," she said. "It was mainly confined to the back of the bus."

When the girls arrived at their school, they informed staff, who detained the offender until police arrived.

Parlett said he would be charged with aggravated indecent assault.
