NEW GLASGOW, Nova Scotia, July 19 (UPI) -- A 33-year-old Canadian man was in court Tuesday, charged with voyeurism for allegedly videotaping customers at a tanning salon, authorities said.

Russell Alexander Wile was released on $1,500 bail after appearing in Pictou provincial court on four counts of voyeurism.

He allegedly videotaped at least four customers at Coco Beach Tanning Studio in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported. Police began investigating him after a woman complained July 8.

The court ordered him not to contact nine individuals, and to stay away from changing rooms at pools, beaches, sports facilities and clothing stores.

Wile, who was arrested Monday, also is not permitted to use the Internet or possess any recording devices.

He is to be back in court Aug. 22.
