Gadhafi: Let them use nuclear bombs

June 18, 2011 at 12:43 PM

DANFNIYA, Libya, June 18 (UPI) -- Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi has taunted NATO, boldly telling it to use nuclear weapons in the crisis there, now in its fourth month.

Gadhafi's comments on state television Saturday came as rebels, under heavy fire, were seen firing machine guns, rocket-powered grenades and rocket launchers at government artillery sites near Danfniya, about 20 miles west of Misurata, The Daily Telegraph reported.

"This is the first time they are facing an armed nation of millions," Gadhafi said. "They will be defeated. The alliance will be defeated. Let them even use nuclear bombs."
