ROME, June 13 (UPI) -- Lawyers for Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi said he skipped a court hearing Monday so he could meet with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

Berlusconi, who faces four separate criminal cases in Milan, will also likely miss Tuesday's session in another case because of his duties as head of state, the attorneys said.

Italy's ANSA news service said Berlusconi frequently misses court dates due to his official commitments. His lawyers say he attends whenever possible.

Berlusconi faces three separate cases involving alleged corruption. Monday's hearing involved charges he patronized an underage prostitute.
