Woman dies in Niagara Falls plunge

NIAGARA FALLS, Ontario, June 1 (UPI) -- The body of a woman seen falling over the Canadian side of Niagara Falls has been recovered, authorities said.

Witnesses saw the unidentified woman plunge over Horseshoe Falls about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday and her body was pulled out with the help of two employees of the Maid of the Mist tourist boat, QMI Agency reported Wednesday

Constable Nilan Dave of the Niagara Regional Police said the woman, who was in her 50s, was seen swimming in the Niagara River before being swept over the falls.
