ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, May 28 (UPI) -- U.S. CIA agents inspected Osama bin Laden's compound Friday with Pakistan's permission, officials in Islamabad said Saturday.

The Dawn newspaper, citing unnamed government sources, said a U.S. team of three to five members helicoptered into the Abbottabad compound and spent more than six hours examining it.

The al-Qaida chief's hideout has been controlled by the Pakistani military since the May 2 Navy SEAL raid in which bin Laden was killed.

Dawn also reported that an agreement was reached before U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's visit Friday that the CIA could inspect the compound and question bin Laden's widows, who are in Pakistani custody.
