LONDON, May 14 (UPI) -- The London tabloid News of the World agreed to pay British-American actress Sienna Miller $162,000 to settle a phone-hacking suit Friday.
News Group Newspapers, the Rupert Murdoch company that owns the News of the World, also agreed to pay Miller's legal expenses, The Guardian reported. The settlement is the first since News of the World acknowledged its staff had engaged in widespread invasion of privacy, including hacking into phone messages.
