Queen suffers nosebleed, misses event

WINDSOR, England, April 15 (UPI) -- Queen Elizabeth II missed a public appearance for the first time in five years due to suffering a nosebleed at the time of the event in Windsor, England.

The queen, who will celebrate her 85th birthday next week, was scheduled to attend a service for the Royal Victorian Order at St. George's chapel, but was delayed by a nosebleed, The Daily Telegraph reported Friday.

The monarch was able to attend the reception following the service, The Telegraph said.
