MANILA, Philippines, April 11 (UPI) -- A Filipino court ordered Imelda Marcos, former Phillipines first lady, to repay nearly $280,000 she allegedly took illegally from the National Food Authority.

The anti-graft court gave Marcos 30 days to refund the money.

The Philippine Daily Inquirer said Monday the total includes $232,000 in rebates issued by Philippine National Lines, the NFA's shipping company, and deposited in a private account in 1983 on orders from Imelda Marcos's husband, Ferdinand Marcos, who was president of the Phillipines from 1965 to 1986. He died in 1989.

The court also asked for more than $46,000 for what the newspaper called moral damages and litigation fees.

Imelda Marcos is now a representative of Ilocos Norte, a Filipino province and the birthplace of her late husband.
