NABLUS, West Bank, March 13 (UPI) -- Jewish settlers enraged by the slayings of five family members rampaged across the West Bank Sunday, Palestinian officials said.

Hundreds of armed settlers demonstrated around Nablus, closing roads and stoning Palestinian cars, The Jerusalem Post reported, citing the Palestinian news agency WAFA. Some cars reportedly were set afire.

Attacks against Palestinian cars and homes also were reported in Hebron, and armed settlers from Karnei Shomron and Kedumim closed the main road between Nablus and Qalqilya.

Palestinian security sources told WAFA dozens of settlers on the roads stoned and attacked Palestinian cars and houses, and dozens of Arabs were hurt.

The violence follows the stabbing to death of five members of the Fogel family in the settlement of Itamar Friday night. Palestinians threw stones at buses taking mourners from their funeral.
