OTTAWA, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- A flap over a $50 million lottery jackpot has been resolved, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. said Monday.

The two groups of winners involved in the dispute have agreed to split the pile of loot 30 ways, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported.

The $50 million Lotto Max jackpot was the largest single-ticket win in the province's history.

The dispute arose when a group of 19 Bell Canada co-workers in east Toronto validated their Dec. 31 winning ticket on Jan. 3 only to have another group of 11people come forward to contend they deserved a share as well.

Under the settlement, each would get about $1.67 million, with a court to determine the validity of the claims made by the members of the second group of 11. Any money left over after that court review would be divide among the original claimants.
