TEHRAN, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Iran plans to go to "international legal bodies" to sue Israel in connection with the death of a nuclear scientist, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said Tuesday.
The comment by Ramim Mehmanparast came a day after Iran said it had arrested 10 suspects allegedly belonging to the Mossad, Israel's intelligence agency.
Iran alleged the 10 were involved in the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Massoud Ali Mohammadi in July last year.
"We will definitely utilize all our means and capabilities to follow up the case in international legal bodies," Mehmanparast told the Iranian state Press TV.
On Monday, Iran's Intelligence Ministry announced it had arrested 10 suspects and dismantled an Israeli trained spy network it said was involved in the scientist's death.
The ministry said it had information showing Mossad agents had used bases in some European countries and in countries bordering Iran to plan the assassination.
It later broadcast, on state television, what was said to be a confession of one of the suspects, who said he had undergone training in Israel on how to place bombs in cars. The suspect who was not identified by name, but whose face was shown, said he had been flown to Israel and taken to Mossad headquarters, which he incorrectly said is located between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
