STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- A wealthy Stockholm businessman pleaded guilty and was fined for buying sex from a known porn star, officials said.
In a plea deal, the 47-year-old was fined $4,500 for violating Swedish laws criminalizing the purchasing of sex, The Local reported Tuesday.
His arrest occurred during an investigation into an escort service operated by the porn film actress who allegedly has starred in more than 50 pornographic films.
She told police the man paid her for sex on three occasions.
But the businessman says police scared the allegations out of the woman, pushing her to "say things which weren't true."
"I admitted to buying sex to avoid the humiliation of a trial," he said, claiming he simply took pictures of the woman in erotic poses for casting work for a movie and that the two had consensual sex following the photo shoot.
He called the case a "damn legal scandal."
