MOSCOW, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- New Year's Eve fireworks caused nearly two dozen injuries in Moscow, an official said Saturday.
"Twenty-three people, including a 13-year-old teenager, were injured due to fireworks on the night of Dec. 31," Evgeny Bobylyov, spokesman for the city Emergency Ministry, told RIA Novosti.

Last year, 19 people were injured by fireworks accidents, nine of them children.
