TEHRAN, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- An Iranian commentator called Western condemnation of an attack on an Iranian mosque curious because the countries are behind the group claiming responsibility.

"It is very odd, because there are currently a number of terrorist organizations, and they are all in some way or another proxy organizations and they get the operational orders from places like the U.S., Britain and France," columnist and political commentator Nader Mokhtari told Iran's Press TV Thursday.

Iranian media reported 33 people, including women and children, were killed in a terrorist attack Wednesday at the Imam Hussein mosque in Chabahar. Other media outlets reported as many as 41 people died. Anti-Iran terrorist group Jundallah claimed responsibility for the attack.

"(As) long as they go about managing world affairs in such manner, I do not think there is going be an end to terrorism, because they have always been inducing terrorism in order to fill their pockets," Mokhtari said.
