ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Pakistani intelligence officials say a suspected U.S. drone strike killed four suspected militants Tuesday in the country's North Waziristan tribal area.

Two missiles were fired at the militants' vehicle in the village of Tapi in the town of Miran Shah, CNN reported.

The suspected drone strike was the 102nd this year, compared to 52 in all of 2009, CNN said.

Although U.S. officials generally do not comment on reported drone attacks, the United States is the only country known to have the capability of launching missiles in the region from remote-controlled aircraft.
