LONDON, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- A man stripped of his Egyptian passport and jailed in England for soliciting murder is asking to be freed saying he is "too sick" to be behind bars.
Lawyers for accused terrorist, Abu Hamza, 52, sentenced in 2006 to seven years in prison, say he should be released because he has diabetes, high blood pressure and a skin condition -- and the stumps where his hands once were have become infected -- Britain's The Sun reported Monday.
His lawyers are expected to appear this week before City of Westminster magistrates while Hamza remains at Belmarsh prison in South East London.
"Any dispassionate reader will be disturbed by this report," his bail application states.
The lawyers are expected to ask that Hamza be allowed to return to his wife and nine children at his council house in West London, The Sun reported.
Hamza also faces extradition to the United States on terror charges.
