Drone strike kills three militants

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- A drone attack has killed three suspected militants in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, Pakistani intelligence officials said Saturday.

The drone fired two missiles at a suspected militant vehicle in one of Pakistan's volatile regions bordering Afghanistan, CNN reported.

North Waziristan is one of seven districts in the often-ungoverned tribal region, and is believed to be a haven for al-Qaida-linked groups feeding the insurgency in Afghanistan.

CNN said the drone strike is the 93rd this year, compared with 52 in all of 2009.
