TEL AVIV, Israel, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Israel says it will extradite a New York resident accused of killing his parents who was stopped at Ben Gurion airport after trying to buy a ticket to China.

Eric Bellucci, 30, arrived in Israel Thursday to stay with a friend after allegedly killing his parents, Haaretz reported Friday.

Bellucci attempted to buy a ticket to Beijing, and after his credit card was denied he told an attendant he would find another source of money and return for the afternoon flight.

The ticket agent called airport security who detained Bellucci who refused after being asked to show his passport, Haaretz said.

He was detained after being confirmed as a fugitive. Bellucci will be extradited to the United States Saturday.
