MONTREAL, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- A Canadian skydiving instructor was killed following a jump with several students, officials said.

Philippe Huard, 34, was killed Sunday in a hard landing after shooting video of students during a jump near Franham, The (Montreal) Gazette reported.

"The parachute deployed but there was some problem upon landing," said Sgt. Steve Laland, a spokesman for Surete du Quebec.

Huard was an employee of Parachutisme Nouvel Air, the skydiving school.

An autopsy was ordered to see if Huard suffered any medical problem while in the air, the report said.
