TEL AVIV, Israel, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Israel's enemies can threaten Tel Aviv with missiles on three fronts, a top general said Monday.

Maj. Gen. Amos Yadlin, who is retiring as director of military intelligence, told a kibbutz movement conference Iran, Syria and Hezbollah have the capacity to hit the Tel Aviv area, Ynetnews.com reported.

These forces, he said, "are trying to increase their missile arrays in terms of range and accuracy. Tens of thousands of missiles are weapons of terror, not the kind you can conquer land or win a war with."

Yadlin termed Iran the greatest threat to regional peace: "This is a radical regime which publicly negates Israel's right to exist, calls for its annihilation, denies the Holocaust and calls for acts of terror against it."

But he assured his audience, "Israel's deterrence and the IDF's (military's) might are stronger than ever. ... We are facing five fronts. And we follow each of them closely."
