Canadian train derails; no injuries

NEWBROOK, Alberta, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- A CN freight train derailed near Newbrook, Alberta, Saturday, authorities said.

Two locomotives and 18 empty cars left the tracks, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported. The train had a total of three locomotives and 62 cars.

Officials said no one was hurt in the accident and there was no environmental damage. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said the derailment left Highway 63 blocked for a time.

The train was en route from Edmonton to Fort McMurray when it jumped the tracks.
