BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Two would-be robbers threw a Molotov cocktail into a clothing store in Bridgetown, Barbados, Saturday night, killing six women, police said.
The victims were three employees and three customers, Caribbean 360 reported.
Police said the holdup at Campus Trendz began shortly before 7 p.m. when the two men entered the shop and demanded money. The perpetrators attacked the store manager and then tossed the fiery gas bomb as they fled, apparently leaving without getting any cash, the Web news site said.
The victims, who had run into a bathroom in the rear of the building where they became trapped, were identified as store employees Kellisha Oliviere, 24, Shanna Griffith, 18, and Pearl Amanda Cornelius, 18; and customers Kelly Anne Welch, 24, Tiffany Harding, 23, and Nakita Belgrave, 23.
