MOSCOW, July 30 (UPI) -- Moscow meteorologists said the city marked its second heat record in the past week when temperatures reached 99.86 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Moscow meteorological bureau said July 2010 was already the hottest month on record in the city's history when the temperature reached a record 99.86 degrees Thursday, 0.3 degrees higher than the record set earlier in the week, RIA Novosti reported Friday.

Meteorologists said temperatures near Domodedovo and Bykovo airports, southeast of Moscow, reached 100.4 degrees Thursday.

Forecasters said temperatures could drop dramatically during the weekend when rain is expected.
