Police said China Southern Airlines Flight 3912 was bound from Urumqi to Guangzhou Wednesday night when the crew was warned of a possible bomb on board, China's Xinhua news agency reported.
The aircraft landed safely at Zhongchuan Airport in Lanzhou, Gansu province, and all 93 passengers and 18 crew members were evacuated, officials said. No bomb was found.
The bomb threat had been received by the airline company, provincial public security bureau officials said.
Security staff questioned all passengers and crew, Xinhua said.
The passengers continued to Guangzhou on another flight Thursday.
