JUAREZ, Mexico, May 18 (UPI) -- Three headless men's bodies may have been dressed in women's lingerie as a form of humiliation, police in Juarez, Mexico, said.
Two decapitated bodies found Sunday wore bras and women's underwear, and threatening messages were written at the scene, the El Paso (Texas) Times reported Tuesday.
A headless body found late Friday in a Chevrolet Malibu wore a black bra and a green woman's slip. The man's head was on the car's roof.
Drug war killers in the area have been known to leave their dead victims with their pants pulled down and dressing them in women's clothing could serve as a form of public humiliation, authorities said.
There were at least nine homicides in Juarez during the weekend, including a man shot and killed in the tourist zone near the Bridge of the Americas.
