BELGRADE, Serbia, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- President Boris Tadic says separate resolutions condemning war crimes by Serbs at Srebrenica and one remembering Serb victims will both be adopted.

Tadic, speaking to the daily newspaper Politika Tuesday, predicted the Serbian Parliament will adopt both resolutions -- one that condemns crimes committed by Serbs in the 1995 massacre of up to 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys at Srebrenica and another commemorating Serbian victims of the Balkans War.

Tadic told Politika he initiated the Srebrenica resolution because he believes "this question is not a partisan or a political one, but a question of values and morals."

"With this resolution we are removing the anathema from our people, protecting our national interest, and it will be confirmed that there is no collective guilt and that every crime has a first and a last name," Tadic said.

The resolution on Serb victims has come after critics, including Prime Minister Milorad Dodik, complained isolating only the war crimes in Srebrenica would be unfair because 3,500 Serbs had been killed in the area before the massacre.
