MOSCOW, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- A gang of armed men opened fire on cash couriers outside a bank in southern Russian, making off with $1.3 million, authorities said.
The assailants, wearing army uniforms, attacked outside the bank offices in the republic of Ingushetia Wednesday morning, RIA Novosti reported.
The bank manager, Adam Archakov, was grazed by a bullet allegedly fired by the robbers.
After the robbery at a branch of Esidbank, a local Interior Ministry spokesman said, the robbers fled with the money in a Lada car.
"Police have the number of the vehicle, and the search is ongoing," the spokesman said.
