26 hurt in Pakistan explosion

KARACHI, Pakistan, Dec. 26 (UPI) -- A roadside bomb exploded during a religious procession in a Shiite neighborhood in Karachi Saturday night, injuring 26 people, hospital authorities said.

The (Pakistan) Daily Times reported the wounded included 11 children under the age of 15 and six women.

The blast occurred about 8:45 p.m. in a market as people took part in a procession marking the Muharram holy month.
