3 bodies recovered from boat crash

CAVITE, Philippines, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Three bodies believed to be victims in the collision of a motor outrigger and a fishing boat off Cavite in the Philippines have been recovered, officials say.

Twenty-four people were still missing, GMA News reported Thursday. Forty-six others were rescued.

Authorities said motor banca "Catalyn B," which had 15 crew members and 59 passengers, collided with "Natalya" four nautical miles off Limbones Island in Cavite at 2:20 a.m.

A banca is a type of Philippine outrigger canoe.
