Accidental Pakistan explosion kills 4

PESHAWAR, Pakistan, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- A powerful blast near a fast-food restaurant in Peshawar, Pakistan, that killed four people Saturday was an accident, police said.

Officials initially had feared a car bomb was to blame for the explosion near a KFC franchise but investigators later said they believed the blast originated in a store full of paint, Iran's Press-TV reported.

Gulf News reported on its Web site14 other people were injured.

Police Chief Liaquat Ali Khan said the exact cause of the blast was unclear but that it was accidental, Gulf News said.
