BELGRADE, Serbia, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- The government of Serbia has sent a message to Montenegro warning against opening a diplomatic office in the capitol of Kosovo, Serbian sources said.

"If what Podgorica is announcing really happens, we shall react," one diplomatic source told the Serbian newspaper Daily Blic in a report published Thursday.

The source said Serbia might react to the move by expelling Montenegro's ambassador to Serbia.

The source said Belgrade told Montenegro establishment of a diplomatic office in Pristina "would additionally and unnecessarily complicate relations between the two countries."
